Naftogaz commissioned well No.29 of Komyshnianske field in Poltava region. After workover and production stimulation operations at total depth of more than 6,000 m, the well produces more than 320 tcm of gas per day.

Naftogaz Oil Midstream and Downstream Division is going to build a deep hydrocarbon recovery unit at Khrestyshchenske Gas Processing Department in proximity to the booster compressor station in Kharkiv region.

Naftogaz Group signed a memorandum of understanding for the cooperation with the leading integrated energy company in South-Eastern Europe – OMV Petrom, headquartered in Romania. Naftogaz and OMV Petrom will seek to establish joint gas exploration and production projects in Ukraine.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC gained full control over gas wells and compressor stations that used to be in joint activities (JA) with Karpatygaz LLC and Misen Enterprises AB. The assets passed into Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC ownership under company's terms defended in the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

Naftogaz Group produced in 2020 produced 13.45 bcm of commercial gas, 2% more than the production target and 1% less than in 2019. The company minimised the rate of production decline in the face of quarantine restrictions, a 30% reduction in the average annual gas price and a 50% reduction in investments. To increase production in the long term, Naftogaz started implementation of the Resource Base Development Strategy.

As part of digitalization, specialists with the Naftogaz Exploration and Production division launched geological and industrial data management software. The launch of this software marked the creation of the largest digital geological database in Ukraine.

The Development Energy Grant Competition aims to support social initiatives of communities. The competition will motivate communities to step up their efforts to find solutions to their problems. Fifty winners will receive up to UAH 100 thous. each for the implementation of their projects. The competition will be held throughout 2021.

Naftogaz Exploration and Production continues to apply new technologies to increase gas production at brown fields. The program allowed to increase daily production of gas by 30% and condensate by more than 40% from well No. 8 of the Valyukhivske field (Poltava region).

For January-December 2020, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a member of Naftogaz Group, contributed 809.8 MUAH of rental payments to the local budgets where the company produces hydrocarbons.

Naftogaz Group pilot launched the first tight gas field of basin-center type, Svyatogirsk. Today, the company began supplying natural gas produced in this area to the gas trunkline system.
