Ukrgasvydobuvannya is working to unlock the resource potential of Ukraine. The company invests in research of promising oil and gas areas in the western region, the Black Sea, and the Dnieper-Donets Basin.
To search for new deposits, including at large depths and in tight rocks, Ukrgasvydobuvannya performs geological 2D and 3D surveys, applies modern technologies to re-process existing geological data, and drills exploration and appraisal wells. Such works are carried out at more than 50 new areas in the Company's portfolio.
In addition, Ukrgasvydobuvannya is conducting exploration at four new areas, for which production-sharing agreements with the state were signed in late 2020. Under the agreements, the Company plans to perform 3D seismic survey on an area of 1.55 thousand square kilometres and drill 12 appraisal wells in the first 5 years. The total expected volume of investments is UAH 3.6 billion.
To increase its resource portfolio, Ukrgasvydobuvannya participates in electronic auctions held by the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine. In 2022, the Company acquired 1 special subsoil use permit for Rybnytska area in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
