Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, a part of Naftogaz Group, has drilled and commissioned another big producer in eastern Ukraine. It gives the country additional 230 tcmpd.

"We have achieved this result at a gas field discovered more than 45 years ago, which for a long time was considered unpromising. Having applied new approaches to data interpretation, the development team of Ukrgasvydobuvannya identified additional gas reserves. I am very grateful to all the specialists who were involved in this work," – Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of the Naftogaz Group, said.

Currently, five more new wells are planned to be drilled at this field in order to fully unlock the identified potential for gas production.

"Our goal is to receive at least 1 mmcm of gas per day from this field. This will be a significant contribution to implementation of our plan to fully provide Ukraine with its own gas during the next heating season", – Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, added.

As a reminder, earlier Ukrgasvydobuvannya drilled a record-breaking well in the recent years with a daily flow rate of 580 thousand cubic meters of gas.
