On January 25, 2022, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC presented the opportunities for cooperation in the format of Production Enhancement Contracts (PEC) to Ukrainian and international companies. As part of the second stage of the project, the company plans to find experienced and reliable partners for the operations management of 35 fields.
"Naftogaz is open to partnerships in new projects aimed at enhancing Ukraine's energy independence. We already have a positive experience of cooperation in the PEC format at 13 fields in Western Ukraine. There, within a year, our partner Expert Petroleum provided for increased basic production due to the intensification and reconstruction of the surface infrastructure. Therefore, we are scaling the gained experience to Eastern and Central Ukraine. I thank the participants of the event for their interest in our project. I hope this meeting will develop into a useful partnership for both partner companies and Ukraine," said Mavriky Kalugin, Chief Operating Officer of Naftogaz.
About 100 representatives of 40 companies from 10 countries joined the event.
Same as before, future partners are expected to stabilize and increase the hydrocarbon production on the conditions favourable for both parties.
For Naftogaz, this is an opportunity to free the resources and focus its efforts on top priority projects.
Other conditions also remain unchanged:
- – Under PEC contracts, all produced gas and reserves will be accounted for on the Ukrgasvydobuvannya balance sheet.
- – Ukrgasvydobuvannya is and will remain the owner of licenses for the fields.
- – The partner company will receive payment for its services depending on the rates for different types of activities, namely basic production, production from intensification operations at existing wells, and production from new wells.
Accepting applications from interested partners is the next stage of launching the project.
