EQT Corporation, the largest gas producer in the United States, has donated oil and gas production equipment to Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC.
The equipment received will be used to restore damaged oil and gas production facilities and to maintain production in wartime conditions.
"The full-scale war has caused damage or complete destruction to dozens of Ukrgasvydobuvannya's production facilities. At the same time, it has significantly complicated delivery of required gas production equipment and materials. Certain equipment is just not readily available on the Ukrainian market. We are extremely grateful to EQT for helping us overcome some of these difficulties. Thanks to their generous donation we will be able to repair damaged facilities much faster and implement critical production projects that will supply much needed gas to our country," commented Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
EQT Corporation is the first U.S. company to donate production equipment for gas production in Ukraine. Its delivery has been made possible thanks to support of the U.S. Government and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
“Ensuring a reliable supply of energy is a challenge not only for Ukraine but for the entire world. We are proud to support our fellow energy workers in Ukraine as they fearlessly continue production operations under the most difficult conditions,” said Toby Z. Rice, President and CEO of EQT Corporation. “This equipment will play a major role in helping to stabilize Ukraine’s energy supply. We hope our colleagues continue to stay safe during these dangerous times and look forward to the day this war ends.”
