Ukrgasvydobuvannya has increased the number of geophysical surveys almost twice since the beginning of the year as compared to the same period in 2022, and by about a third as compared to the same period in 2021.
We only plan to increase the pace. This year, the company plans to achieve the best performance in the last 3 years!
To increase its capacity, Ukrgasvydobuvannya is purchasing new specialized equipment. Thus, one of our branches, Ukrgazpromgeofizyka, acquired four new laboratory-perforation stations and three laboratory-logging stations mounted on Renault trucks. This will help to expand the technical fleet for 27 geophysical parties that conduct research and well intervention operations.
By upgrading its equipment, Ukrgazpromgeofizyka switches to performing geophysical studies 24 hours a day. This in turn will not only increase the number of operations, but also save money on well maintenance and additional gas production (since wells will be commissioned faster).

Geophysical surveys and well intervention operations are performed at different stages of well life - from well drilling to geochemical studies. Their objective is to collect the maximum number of parameters for the rocks penetrated by the well, and assess the prospects of extracting hydrocarbons from them. The collected data is consolidated in unified databases about deposits, including those used to create their 3D models.
