Valentyn Loktyev, who has over 20 years of experience in hydrocarbon exploration and production in Ukraine and abroad, has been appointed Exploration Director of the Naftogaz Exploration and Production Division.

We begin to sum up the results of 2020. Exactly a year ago, in December 2019, the diesel oil dewaxing unit was put into operation at Shebelynka Refinery Plant, which made it possible to produce a new type of product - Arctic diesel fuel with minimum filtration temperature of minus 32 C.

Naftogaz continues to actively develop new oil and gas sites authorized by the state in previous years. At one of them the company discovered a promising green field, Zhemchuzhne, in Poltava region.

As part of the strategy for the development of the resource base and the digitalization of production processes, Naftogaz Group has created the 3D Field Modeling & Visualization Center in Kharkiv. This is a unique center of competence for Ukraine's oil and gas industry in terms of the level of technical support, number of specialists and scope of work.

For January-November 2020, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a member of Naftogaz Group, contributed 712 MUAH of rental payments to the local budgets where the company produces hydrocarbons.

Naftogaz Group seeks permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to acquire equity rights to Nadra Yuzivska LLC, which enjoys the right to develop the Yuzivska hydrocarbons block in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

The jury of the competition “My Project for Community” announced the winner. Children competed for the best idea to improve the quality of life in their regions. The team “For the Future” representing Bazylivshchyna School (Poltava region) became the winner. The youngest competitors (8th form) propose to create a homeless animal center in the community.

JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya is currently performing trial operation of a new software solution for collecting data from metering units for measuring the quantity and quality of natural gas. The introduction of the new metering system is the next step towards the integration of the gas market with the European Union. The new system is expected to be fully implemented by spring 2022.

Naftogaz Group (JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya) has submitted the draft production sharing agreements (PSAs) for four oil and gas sites (Balakliyska, Ivanovska, Buzivska and Berestyanska) to a special Interdepartmental Commission for final approval. Amid the crisis the Company affirms its readiness to invest 3.6 billion UAH in the development of these sites during the first 5 years.

In Q3 2020, amid unfavorable market conditions, economic downturn and quarantine restrictions, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya's (Naftogaz Group) profit amounted to 1.47 billion UAH. Thus, the company improved its key performance indicators compared to Q2 2020. The funds received will be invested in building up the hydrocarbon resource base and stabilizing the natural gas production.
