The Naftogaz Exploration and Production Division continues to implement its production program aimed at building up the resource base and increasing production efficiency at depleted fields under adverse external factors.

For January-September 2020, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a member of Naftogaz Group, contributed 546 MUAH of rental payments to the local budgets where the company produces hydrocarbons.

Naftogaz Group continues to develop Ukrainian deep horizons. The company completed drilling operations at another superdeep well No. 58 at the Komyshnianske field in the Poltava region. A significant hydrocarbons inflow (170 TCM of gas per day) was marked at a depth of 6,040 meters.

In the face of a decline in gas prices, Ukrgasvydobuvannya maintains a profitable level. At the end of the 1st half of 2020, the company's net profit amounted to 301 million UAH, with the operating profit amounting to 1.7 billion UAH. During the same period, the company invested 6.9 billion UAH in the development of Ukrainian gas production, transferred 12.7 billion UAH in taxes to treasuries at all levels, as well as directed 576 million UAH to counter the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.

The first joint social project will be the arrangement of a gym in the Krasnolutsk school, located in the Gadyatsky district of the Poltava region. The school gym will receive all the necessary equipment, including balls, nets and other accessories for various sports.

In January-August 2020, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a member of Naftogaz Group, contributed 480 MUAH of rental payments to the local budgets where the company produces hydrocarbons.

Naftogaz Group continues to build a professional top management team in the process of its transformation. Recently Nataliia Rudevych was appointed Director for Oil and Gas Services of the Technical Support Division of Naftogaz.

From October 1, the international company Expert Petroleum will commence production enhancement operations at 13 depleted gas fields in the Lviv region. The company receives these fields for temporary manage from Naftogaz Group provided that it will invest at least 1 BUAH and increase production by 300 mcm for 5 years.

Naftogaz Group continues to defend its rights in connection with the revocation of special subsoil use permits for the Budyshchansko-Chutivska site, which was sold by the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine to the other company at an open bidding today, as well as to two other sites - Obolonska and Pysarivska. According to Naftogaz, in 2017, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine unreasonably issued an order, which became the basis for the revocation of the Company's special permit

Naftogaz Exploration and Production has created an Expert Board of 11 leading Ukrainian scientists and practitioners in the field of geological exploration and hydrocarbon production. The Expert Board members will join the development of Naftogaz's strategy to increase gas reserves and an exploration and production program. The first constitutive meeting of the Expert Board was held on August 27, 2020.
