Over the past month, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, which is part of Naftogaz Group, has commissioned two production wells at the same time at one of the largest fields in Ukraine. Cumulatively they added more than 300 TCM of gas to the company's daily production.

"We are making all possible efforts to increase our own gas production. This field is more than 50 years old, but thanks to drilling the new wells we managed not only to stop the decline, but also to achieve an increase in production performance. The field still has deposits with a high residual potential. To unlock all its capabilities, Ukrgasvydobuvannya`s specialists are currently drilling and completing 10 more production wells", - Oleksiy Chernyshov, Head of Naftogaz Group, said.

In addition, owing to modern seismic exploration carried out on this field, the further field exploration became possible. This enables us to increase proven hydrocarbon reserves. For this purpose, a new project on drilling 5 exploration wells has been designed, the first of which is already being drilled.

"In order to meet the production increase objective set for 2023, we are increasing the volumes of drilling in the fields where drilling is justified by geological conditions and technical-feasibility studies. The 2023 Drilling Program for the specified field was developed by the specialists of UkrNDIgaz, - the field development department of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, and GPD Shebelynkagazvydobuvannya. Both wells were drilled by the Khrestyshche Drilling Department of Ukrburgaz, and the hydraulic fracturing operation on one of the wells was performed by UGV-Service professionals.

Reminder: in March, Ukrgasvydobuvannya commissioned two highly productive wells in Poltava region.
