 Agostino Maccagni appointed Chief Explorer for Hydrocarbon Prospecting and Exploration

Our team has been reinforced by another world-class expert Agostino Maccagni аs the Chief Explorer.

He has almost 40 years of experience in exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Italy, Egypt, USA, Norway, Kazakhstan, the UK, and Montenegro. In particular, for 35 years he worked in the divisions of the largest Italian oil and gas company Eni. Agostino started his career there as a specialist of the seismic data processing center. Then he headed the team tasked with the development of new Eni projects in other countries. In particular, he managed projects for the development of major fields such as Zohr in Egypt and Karachaganak in Kazakhstan. Agostino has a Master's degree in Geology and he graduated from the University of Milan.

As the Chief Explorer of the Naftogaz Exploration and Production division, Agostino is currently involved in the development of a strategy for building up the resource base of Naftogaz, and will subsequently be involved in the process of its implementation. Moreover, Agostino will implement the world's best practices and business processes for prospecting and exploration for hydrocarbons in order to improve exploration drilling practices.
