PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya (UGV) has launched the training courses to develop skills of chief specialists/supervisors for monitoring the well drilling and workover processes at the training center of ShebelynkaGasVydobuvannya Gas Production Division branch.
The first training group of 11 employees has already begun the well drilling training. In the 1st quarter of 2018, it is planned to improve the qualification of supervisors dealing with the well workover.
“We plan to train all the employees of the supervisory administration until the end of 2019. Further, starting from February 2018 it is planned to certify all the supervisors according to IWCF standards in Romania. At the first stage, we will conclude a contract for training of 34 UGV specialists,” Yurii Nahorniak, Production Director of PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya, noted.
It is worth noting that the technical specialists of UGV-SERVICE and UkrBurGas Drilling Division branches, who have completed higher education and have considerable experience and established themselves in their positions, can also attend the qualification upgrading courses and accede to the supervisory system. Moreover, training on courses and testing will also be indispensable when hiring new specialists.
The supervisory administration is a relatively new structural unit of the managerial apparatus, which was established in June 2016 to optimize and reduce the Company costs at all stages of the well construction and operation. By the end of 2017, the administration comprises 101 specialists.
For the time being, the supervisors can deal with 30 well workover facilities and 27 drilling facilities owned by UGV. In 2018, it is planned to take supervisory control over 60% of all well drilling and workover facilities; in 2019, it is planned to cover 100% of the facilities.
