PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya reports on 5% charges from rent payments into the local budgets on the territories of hromadas, where the company extracts hydrocarbons.
The total amount of rent payments for January 2018, which was directed to different budgets in 11 regions, made up UAH 100.16 million.
Most of these monetary funds are concentrated in two gas production regions: Kharkiv and Poltava.
Thus, in January 2018, UAH 50.3 million was directed to different local budgets in Kharkiv region, UAH 41.2 million in Poltava region, UAH 3.4 million in Dnipropetrovsk region and UAH 3.2 million in Lviv region.
The balance of rent payments equal to UAH 2.06 million for January 2018 was directed to Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Sumy, Volyn, Chernivtsi, Transcarpathian and Donetsk regions.

In early 2017, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, signed the Law on Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine Regarding the Inclusion of Rent Payment for the Use of Subsoil for the Extraction of Oil, Natural Gas and Gas Condensate No. 1793-VIII dated 20.12.2016 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 20 December 2016.
The Law stipulates that 2% of the rent shall be directed to regional budgets, 2% to district budgets and 1% to local government budgets at the place of location (production) of the relevant natural resources. The exception is the budgets of cities of republican and regional significance and budgets of the amalgamated hromadas, which will receive 3%. 95% of the rent will be directed to the general fund of the state budget.
The Law entered into force on 1 January 2018.
In 2017, within the framework of cooperation with 81 local hromadas, PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya financed 208 projects for the total amount of UAH 100.485 million.
