Four of the five wells were drilled in the brown fields which were producing during 45-55 years. Another well is located at the greenfield. This month the gas from this well was taken into the gas transportation system of Ukraine for the first time.

"We are applying a combined approach in order to achieve our production growth goals: we use modern technologies to discover new gas pools in already depleted fields and increase investment in research and development of new areas", - Oleg Tolmachev, the acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, said.

Thanks to such approach, over the past two years we managed to increase daily gas production at one of the mentioned brown fields by 35%, and by almost 50% at the other brownfield.

The remaining fields, which were revived thanks to the use of modern technologies, demonstrate their performance stabilization and the possibility to potentially increase the production.

As a reminder, since the beginning of the year, Ukrgasvydobuvannya has commissioned 58 new gas wells with a cumulative average daily rate 5.3 MMCM of natural gas.
