JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya calls Poltava regional council, regional state administration, district administrations, village councils and united territorial communities of the region to cooperate in solving ecological and social and infrastructure issues of the region.
On May 24, a round table devoted to future prospects of JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya in Poltava region took place at Poltava regional council, where the results and plans of cooperation of PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya with the local communities in Poltava region were presented.
Over three hours there were controversial debates on environmental problems, land use, use of the revenue from rent payments, social cooperation, repair of local and public roads.
“JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya presented new programs for repair of local and public roads for discussion, and called the authorities of Poltava region to participate in co-investments of these activities. I am convinced that the partnership is the guarantee of the well-being. Only by working together and increasing our natural gas production, we will attain the goal we have set – energy independence of Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Sokolovsky, Director for Land Relations of JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya.
In the region, the activities have already begun on environmental programs, construction of access roads and hard-surfaced drilling sites.
In July, JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya in close cooperation with Poltava regional state administration and Lannivska united territorial community will start implementation of pilot project on road repair.
We recall that in 2018 the revenue for local budgets of Poltava region from the activities of JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya is expected at USD 495 million.
In the first four months of 2018, JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya has already directed over UAH 156 million of rent payments to the local budgets of Poltava region.

In early 2017, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, signed the Law on Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine Regarding the Inclusion of Rent Payment for the Use of Subsoil for the Extraction of Oil, Natural Gas and Gas Condensate No. 1793-VIII dated 20.12.2016 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 20 December 2016.
The Law stipulates that 2% of the rent shall be directed to regional budgets, 2% to district budgets and 1% to local government budgets at the place of location (production) of the relevant natural resources. The exception is the budgets of cities of republican and regional significance and budgets of the amalgamated hromadas, which will receive 3%. 95% of the rent will be directed to the general fund of the state budget.
The Law entered into force on 1 January 2018.
