On April 18, the meeting of the Coordination Board under the head of Poltava Regional Council took place. One of the issues discussed was the aspects of PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya activities in Poltava region. During his presentation, the Director of UGV Land Relations Volodymyr Sokolovskyi told the audience about the new trends in the development of the company, its social and environmental responsibility.
The participants of the meeting were keenly interested by the amount of royalties UkrGasVydobuvannya plans to pay to the local budgets of Poltava until the end of this year (almost UAH 500 million), as well as revenues that have already been transferred to the regional, district, rural and settlement budgets. Volodymyr Sokolovskyi also thoroughly explained the details of the environmental monitoring program introduced by the UGV this year.
The participants of the event approved the company’s willingness to take part in the projects of local highways repair. Volodymyr Sokolovskyi pointed out that UkrGasVydobuvannya expresses its willingness to join co-financing of such projects once again.
The present heads of the district administrations and district councils paid attention to the significant progress in cooperation with UGV and its regional offices in recent years. They recalled the positive changes in the districts resulting from the funds received under social agreements and confirmed that the royalties were locally received. Viacheslav Chaus, the Director of Corporate and General Affairs of UGV, in his turn noted that last year the communities of Poltava received UAH 49 million under social agreements, which allowed to implement many important local projects.
Of all the complex issues that raise the district leaders’ biggest concern, remains the road surface condition. That is why all the participants of the event supported the initiative of carrying out joint projects on road repair.
In general, the meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue. We hope that this meeting will be the starting point for establishing relations between the company and local self-government bodies and authorities in Poltava region.
