On October 31, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya put a new well into commercial service in the Krasnokutsk field, Kharkiv region. The daily yield made about 400 ths. cub.m of natural gas.
The exploration well 5,810 m deep was designed based on 3D exploration surveys in the south-west part of the Krasnokutsk field. The growth in the explored gas reserves will make more than 450 mln. cub.m, and the resource portfolio of the block - more than two bln. cub.m.
“This is one of the good results that make it possible to limit the natural decline in production that makes 1.5 bln. cub.m every year. We are focused on an additional exploration of the available reserves and increasing their efficient extraction," Andrew Favorov, the Director for Integrated Gas Business, Naftogaz Ukraine, mentioned.
Given the tremendous depth and complex geological structure of the field, the indicated effect was achieved by the coordinated work of Ukrgasvydobuvannya departments and external contractors. Upon drilling by the efforts of own drilling contractor, the UkrBurGas Drilling Division, Ukrzapromgeophysics branch, conducted a complex of geophysical studies in the well according to the international standards. The well was completed by the external contractor with the use of the well completion equipment and engineering and process support by Schlumberger.
According to the results of the study for the selection of optimal operation mode, the Gas Industrial Department Poltavagasvydobuvannya has put the well into operation.
It should be remembered that in March 2017, Ukrgasvydobuvannya put into operation the well in the Krasnokutsk field with a daily yield of more than one mln. cub.m of gas.
