PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya introduces Schlumberger cutting-edge software produced by the largest oil service company, which will make it possible to create detailed 3D models of deposits.

At the moment, there are three software products: Petrel, Eclipse, and Techlog.

The Petrel software makes it possible to create 3D geological structure models for gas, gas condensate, and oil and gas deposits. Having static model created in the software package Petrel, at the next stage, the Eclipse program simulates the development of oil and gas reservoirs; in addition, this package allows determining the areas of reservoirs that are being developed more actively, as well as areas less involved in the development, which will provide the basis for planning of new producing wells. The Techlog software package is designed for state-of-the-art processing of the well geophysical exploration results; it allows to identify producing layers in the well column with high degree of confidence and trace their distribution over the area of the deposit.

Using this software package, PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya will be able to detail and define more exactly geological structure of existing deposits, determine the exact boundaries of reservoirs and reserves of hydrocarbons, and detect undiscovered producing layers as early as possible, which will make it possible to increase hydrocarbon reserves, make their extraction more rational and intensive.

Within the framework of cooperation on introduction of the abovementioned software products, Schlumberger also conducts training and certification of PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya personnel.
