Ukrgasvydobuvannya has recommenced the work of Yablunivka Drill Mud Processing and Disposal Unit

After upgrading and refitting performed by M-I SWACO, Schlumberger company, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, recommenced the work of Yablunivka Drill Mud Processing and Disposal Unit.

In this unit, it is planned to process the drilling mud from the wells of the Yablunivka field that is currently one of the largest fields of UGV by hydrocarbon reserves. The significant deposits of the Yablunivka field settle in the area of Sula river floodplains, and the unique engineering structure, the hydraulic-fill islands, has been constructed to ensure their efficient development. Construction of a well in the territory of the hydraulic-fill islands, the drilling is performed by the sumpless method.

Remark that the construction project of the drill mud processing and disposal unit was developed during 2004-2005 when the Yablunivka field was actively under construction.

As of today, by the efforts of M-I SWACO, Schlumberger company, the partial upgrade and refitting have been performed, based on the drill mud analysis, the basic formulations incurred, and chemical reagents purchased, the engineering support of production process provided and training of Yablunivka workshop personnel conducted.

The representatives of local authorities and activists of the Sencha community were invited to the restored unit commissioning.

As Valentyna Murashko, the activist and the local council deputy, mentioned, "Now, we have a hope for nature preservation, it's a great thing that such plant has been commissioned."

Andrew Favorov, the Director for Integrated Gas Business, Naftogaz, pointed out, in his turn, that one of the Company's top priorities was the development of activities in the regions and preservation of health and life of both the Company employees and residents of communities.

Note that Naftogaz Group, in its activities, follows the dynamic economic development principle, partially, due to maximum reasonable use of natural resources, reduced formation of waste, emissions, effluents.
