Ukrgasvydobuvannya has completed a successful workover of the 20-year-old well, having restored its highly productive performance. Due to depletion of the target producing horizon, the well was not in operation, and now it produces more than 150 thousand cubic meters of blue fuel every day.

"Thanks to workovers performed since the beginning of the year, we already have more than five wells with daily gas rates over 100 thousand cubic meters. In cases where workovers were carried out to restore the operation of old wells, the investments were significantly lower compared to the cost of drilling new wells", – Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, comments.

This result comes from the diligent teamwork on collecting and processing geological and technical information, preliminary identification of targets for testing and calculating their potential.

The success of the work carried out on this well unlocks the prospects for updating the geological model of the field, re-assessing hydrocarbon reserves and drilling additional new wells.
