In August, the specialists of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC completed testing the prospecting well at one of the new licensed areas. The geological information obtained as a result of testing indicates the discovery of a new field, the reserves of which, according to preliminary estimates, reach about 1 bcm.   

"This is another discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits made by our geologists over the recent year. The level of exploration of this area was close to zero. By increasing our reserves, we create prospects for sustainable growth of gas production", - Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, said.  

The total depth of the prospecting well is 3923 m, and it tested more than 100 thousand cubic meters of commercial gas. Before drilling the well, 3D seismic exploration was conducted at the mentioned area, thanks to which the company's specialists were able to drill into its geological model.  

Ukrgasvydobuvannya will continue its exploration program at the mentioned field and plans to drill new wells within this license.
