In September alone, specialists of the Geophysical Division of Ukrgazpromgeofizyka, a branch of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, made 266 trips to carry out geophysical studies at the fields.
This indicator is the largest in the entire history of the activity of the Branch, the Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, Oleg Tolmachev, said.
"We have upgraded the fleet of equipment, due to which we were able to transfer a part of geophysical studies operations to a 24-hour mode. The future plans provide for an increase in the scopes so that Ukrgazpromgeofizyka can fully meet our needs," he said.
According to Oleg Tolmachev, Ukrgazpromgeofizyka has been steadily increasing the scope of studies for the past 1.5 years.
Over 2,000 trips were made in 9 months of 2023. This indicator is 50% higher than that in the same period last year.
"Ukrgazpromgeofizyka performs over 80% of geophysical studies in Ukrgasvydobuvannya’s wells. These are works at various stages of the well life cycle - from drilling to commissioning. Their goal is to collect the maximum data on the hydrocarbon prospects," Oleg Tolmachev explained.
He also added that work in one well lasts an average of 3 days. Depending on the complexity of such operations, 4-6 workers are involved.
