Ukrgasvydobuvannya joined the United Nations Global Compact. The initiative unites the business around the world to settle the most critical challenges of modernity: human rights and environmental protection, anti-corruption efforts, quality education, etc.
Joining the initiative means that Ukrgasvydobuvannya shares the global sustainable development goals and is obligated to be guided them in their work.
"As one of the largest industrial companies in Ukraine, we are aware of our role in the entire country and region development. We have an overreaching goal - to create a strong corporate social responsibility system in the company within the next three years. Joining the Global Compact is access to the international platform for developing partnership relations with the civil society, governmental and non-governmental organizations. It is also an opportunity to adopt the best practices and attract the additional resources for achieving our goal," said Andrew Favorov, Director for Integrated Gas Business at Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to the rules of the Global Compact, Ukrgasvydobuvannya will report annually on its implementation actions of the sustainable development programs and projects.
