Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC supported the initiative on planting more than 1000 trees and shrubs in those regions of Ukraine where the company produces its gas. Greenspace expansion took place as part of the global campaign Greening of the Planet, which covered 30 countries.

This time, the campaign was focused on the embankment of Irpin`, the city which was severely affected by the occupation and military actions.

"It is the second time that Ukrgasvydobuvannya joins this campaign as a partner. With the support of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, green spaces appeared in 10 communities of Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions. We believe that every new tree, as well as every cubic meter of gas, is a contribution to the future of Ukraine", - Oleg Tolmachev, the Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, commented, who joined the tree planting initiative in Irpin`.

The initiative Greening of the Planet has been held in Ukraine for the third year in a row.

"We already have recorded planting 34 million of trees, of which about 10 million were planted in Ukraine. Our goal is to restore the planet's ecosystem and unite people around social goals", - Hanna Krysyuk, the key initiator of the campaign and the founder of charity foundation Greening the Ukraine, said.

Since the beginning of 2020, Ukrgasvydobuvannya has been the member of the UN Global Compact On achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and restoring the ecosystem of our communities is one of the company`s objectives.
