The maximum number of drilled meters per annum which was recorded in 2006 was 276,000 meters. In 2018, the Company reached a record of drilled meters – 314,000. This made it possible to further increase annual production by 335 million cubic meters.

As of March 20, 2019, 69,601 meters were drilled by UkrBurGas Drilling Division and external drilling contractors, which is 18 % more than in the same period of the last year.

The above results were achieved due to commissioning of new rigs. In particular, 4 new drilling rigs of HongHua (China) and Bentec (Germany) with capacity of 450 tons are used in drilling to date.

It is worth noting that Ukrgasvydobuvannya has purchased twenty new rigs, of which 15 units with capacity of 450 tons, 2 units with capacity of 320 tons and mobile rigs, 2 units with capacity of 225 tons and one – 180 tons. The near-term plans are to complete the modernization of 33 own rigs of old stock, which were purchased more than 25 years ago.

UGV also cooperates with external drilling contractors such as Crosco (Croatia) and Beiken (China). 13 drilling rigs are used to date.
