Naftogaz Group appointed Yuriy Kalmuk, who has over 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, as the Director of the Geophysics Department “Ukrgazpromgeofizyka”.

Yuriy Kalmuk is a strong technical expert who knows both our company from within and the Ukrainian oil and gas industry. His experience in the field of geophysical prospecting is extremely important today, when the highest priority is the efficient operation of depleted fields and preparation for the development of new fields,” said Andriy Khomenko, Director of the Naftogaz Technical Support Division.

Yuriy Kalmuk has been holding various positions with Ukrgasvydobuvannya for more than 17 years. Prior to that, for 6 years he worked as Deputy Head of Production and Chief Engineer of the branch of the Geophysics Department “Ukrgazpromgeofizyka”. He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.

“I have the honor to take over the leadership of the Ukrgazpromgeofizyka team. I have worked side by side with most of the division's employees for many years. Together we will do our best to improve the operational efficiency of management and develop its potential. After all, geophysical prospecting is an essential part of the production program aimed at increasing oil and gas reserves,” added Yuriy Kalmuk.
