Ukrgasvydobuvannya has put into production a new well drilled in Kharkiv region with a flow rate of more than 140 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
Such high productivity was achieved as a result of the high-quality implementation of 3-staged hydraulic fracturing, which made it possible to discover the full-scale potential of gas-bearing horizons.
"It was the first time, when this technologically complex operation was carried by our own division – UGV-Service. In a situation where due to the war, most international service companies were unable to continue their work in Ukraine, our colleagues continue to develop their own skills and competence. Thanks to high-quality and well-coordinated work, the new well yielded sustainable result, which is another contribution to supplying the country with our own, Ukrainian gas," Oleg Tolmachov, the Naftogaz Group Exploration and Production Division Director, said.
The specific feature of the above-mentioned hydraulic fracturing operation is that all its stages were performed within the same production cycle, using the Monobore assembly with a polishing cone and a sealing unit (called "Stinger"). In this way, it was possible to significantly reduce the duration of this operation and avoid tripping between the stages of hydraulic fracturing.
The new well also supplied us with valuable geological information on the structure of one of the field blocks, as well as with additional data for 3D modelling of this field.
As previously reported, in July UGV Service performed the record number of hydraulic fracturing well operations per month. All operations are being carried out in strict accordance with the safety and environmental requirements established by the state, and the relevant authorities execute monitoring of their performance.
