Ukrgasvydobuvannya`s specialists performed the workover of the well located in the east of the country in complicated geological conditions, thanks to which the daily production from this well increased from almost zero to 160 thousand cubic meters of gas and 57 tons of condensate.

During the workover, the well was re-completed in the overlying horizon, since the previous formation was already depleted. Over 30 years of operation, the field from where the well is producing, has already recovered more than 85% of the initial hydrocarbon reserves. 

"In order to achieve our goal of increasing gas production, besides drilling new wells, we are also working to improve the efficiency of old ones. This well is a good example of how a carefully-planned and successfully executed workover operation not only can revive the well, but also yield high level of production from it", - Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, commented.
