In September 2021 Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC reduced the lag in natural gas production compared to the same period last year. In the first 9 months of this year, the company produced 10.2 bcm of natural gas. Therefore, the production decline in January-September 2021 is 4.8% or 0.517 bcm. This is 0.2% less than the production decline in January-August 2021.
At the same time, gas supply* for 9 months of 2021 decreased by 4.8% or 0.484 bcm - up to 9.65 bcm.
In September of this year, Ukrgasvydobuvannya produced 1.12 bcm of natural gas (minus 2.69%, or 31 mcm) compared to the same period last year) and gas supply in the amount of 1.064 bcm (minus 2.83%, or 31 mcm).
The company continues to implement its strategy of growing the Naftogaz resource base. According to the exploration results, the increase in gas reserves since the beginning of the year is more than 3.6 bcm, and the increase in gas resources is 9.2 bcm.
To stabilize production indicators during the first nine months of 2021, Ukrgasvydobuvannya carried out the following measures: 36 new wells were drilled at a rate of penetration of 899 m per rig-month and tied-in to the surface infrastructure; 187 workovers were carried out; 458 coiled tubing operations were carried out, 85 hydraulic fracturing operations were carried out; 9 side tracks were drilled. As of the end of September 2021, 297 high-rate wells were equipped with a remote supervisory control and data acquisition system. 2,123 geophysical surveys and other well operations were carried out by in-house and third-party contractors, which is 16% more than planned.
